Sync and mail

New emails not showing

Enable sync, run Manual sync from Settings → Email Accounts → Manage.

Sync seems stuck or never finishes

Refresh the page; wait for initial sync; try reconnect.

Sync is very slow

Normal for first sync or large mailboxes; use Manual sync if needed.

Actions in Relay don’t appear in Gmail/Outlook

Reconnect Gmail/Outlook; check provider limits.

Need to reconnect an account

Settings → Email Accounts → Manage → Reconnect / Re-authorize.

Can’t connect my email account

Use App Password for Gmail/Outlook; enable IMAP; check server/port.

“Invalid credentials” or “Authentication failed”

App Password (not main password); check for typos.

“Connection timeout” or “Connection refused”

Check internet; firewall/VPN; try different network.

“IMAP not enabled”

Enable IMAP in provider settings (Gmail, Outlook).

Sending and composing

“Failed to send email”

Check recipient; SMTP settings; try again later.

“Message too large”

Stay under ~25MB; use file links for large attachments.

“Rate limit exceeded”

Wait before sending more; Gmail ~500/day.

App and account

“Something went wrong” / “Failed to load”

Refresh; clear cache; try another browser.

“Action failed” (archive, delete, etc.)

Retry; refresh; check if item still exists.

Can’t add a second email account

Free plan allows 1 account; upgrade to Pro for more.

AI summaries or smart reply not showing

Free = summaries only; Pro = full AI.

AI labels / categories not applying to emails

Pro required; enable auto-apply in Settings → AI Categories; labels apply to inbox mail after first sync.

  • Exact error message (if any).

  • What you were doing when it happened.

  • Email provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) and how you connected (OAuth vs IMAP).
